It’s International Women’s Day, however the 2019 #BalanceforBetter campaign runs all year long. The campaign theme provides a unified direction to guide and galvanise continuous collective action, with Balance for Better activity reinforced and amplified all year.
Mahoney Contracts have recognised that a diverse workforce increases innovation, boosts employee retention and morale and allows the company to connect with a wider range of clients.
To help us achieve and develop this, we have partnered with WAMT (Women and Manual Trades). Through a collaborative approach, WAMT provides advice, support and guidance to facilitate the growth in women’s career opportunities within the construction sector. Their primary focus is to help construction companies recruit and retain tradeswomen in order to tackle skills shortages, and achieve better gender balance.
