The Planned Asset Renewal works at the Bridgnorth Coop Food Store specified for the existing composite panel roof to be skimmed down and have a new waterproof coating applied. Following the appointment of Mahoney Contracts, a value engineering exercise was undertaken to identify the roof was suitable for an insulated steel overclad system, which also comes with a 20 year warranty along with providing the Coop a circa £30k saving. This in turn freed up additional funds to undertake groundworks and landscaping to improve the car park, which may have otherwise had to have been deferred to future years and programmes.
